We are visiting family for Thanksgiving. It has been such a wonderful day...so many family members...and extended family members...and food...lots and lots of food! I am thankful for time with all of these people!

Day 24 of 30: Godparents

Godparents!
This is "Uncle" Rick and "Aunt" Peggy. These 2 people are absolutely amazing! We are so blessed to have such wonderful additions to our family. We are fortunate to be able to visit them every summer so that the kids get to know them better. Rick is the kids' godfather...and Peggy has been adopted as their godmother by association! They are so sweet and loving to our babies! Thank you, Uncle Rick and Aunt Peggy!

I planted these flowers last summer and have just loved them. They bloomed in the Spring and then again at the end of the Summer. We were able to enjoy them twice which I had no idea would happen (I am definitely not a gardener!)

Day 22 of 30- Pedicure

Pedicures!
This is one of my absolute favorite ways to relax and pamper myself. I am a runner so my feet can get pretty gnarly looking pretty quickly. This is also one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon with a friend...just chatting and relaxing while someone pampers us!

I am thankful for:
Birthdays!
I am a HUGE birthday person! I celebrate a WHOLE month for my birthday and for the family members in my house. I love making a big deal out of one of my family member's or friend's birthday. It is the perfect day to show someone how special they are to you!
November is my youngest daughter, Lexie's birthday. Happy Birthday, Lexie!

I love how books can take you away...to far away places...to times past...to elaborate lifestyles...to simple lifestyles...so many different lives! A character in a book can become like a new best friend...that I am sad to see leave once the book is finished.

The ocean!
The ocean always calms me! I don't know if it is the sound of the ways crashing, the gentle breeze that it produces, the smell, or the warm sun. It's probably all of these! I just love it and it seems like a wonderful thing that God has given us!

Day 18 of 30- Sweet doggy
I am thankful for:
Big Z (aka Puppy)!
"Puppy" has the sweetest disposition. He is so calm and loving. When he was a puppy, he won a competition for Mr. Barkaroo...and it didn't even go to his head! :O)

This dog is hilarious! Look at that face...who could not love those flappy jaws?
He is so friggin' strong that the Hubs thought this would be the best way to "walk" him!

I am thankful for:
God's provisions!
My family has been abundantly blessed this past year! In this economy, so many have been affected. It is important to our family to give back as much and as often as possible. I pray that I am always thankful for all of our blessings. You never know when it could be you that are needing that help!
